For non-emergency police matters in Toronto, call 416-808-2222 (landline or cell) or dial *TPS (*877) from your mobile device. This service is for reporting incidents that do not require immediate, in-person police response.
For emergencies, always call 9-1-1.
The police non-emergency line *TPS (*8-7-7) on mobile or 416-808-2222 allows residents to connect with police services, personnel and programs. It is also the place to report crimes that are not, or are no longer an emergency, for instance if your home has been broken into but no one is on your property. The Toronto Police Service will take all reports of crime over the non-emergency line, however, we always encourage everyone to use our online reporting services for your convenience at tps.ca/report:
Illegal Parking l Damage to Property Under $5,000 l Damage to Vehicle Under $5,000 l Grafitti vandalism on private property l Fraud under $5,000
In addition to crime, you can report dangerous driving of individuals or dangerous driving behaviours in your community:
Driving Complaint l Local Neighbourhood Traffic Issue or Concern
You may also provide us with additional information to add to a past report, whether you made the report online, over the phone or in person.
